Airbus A 330-300 with registration number RA -73702 on the morning of June 1 arrived from Sheremetyevo to the capital’s Colombo airport, but could not fly back.
The plane was delayed due to double check-in. After the imposition of EU sanctions for the unleashed war in Ukraine, the Russian aviation authorities re-registered the aircraft “squeezed out” from the lessors, including them in the Russian register.
Previously, the aircraft had the registration code VQ – BMY , was registered in the Bermuda registry and belonged to the leasing company GECAS.
Most likely, the board will be returned to the lessor. It is known that the aircraft is only ten years old, it was produced by the Airbus plant in Toulouse in April 2012. There are 296 seats on board – 28 in first class and 268 in economy.

The Putinazis are finding out really quickly that since they don’t follow international law, international law is following them. They need to be completely decimated before they understand this.
