Roskomnadzor demanded that Wikipedia remove the articles  “Battles for Kharkov (2022)”  and  “The use of phosphorus bombs during the Russian invasion of Ukraine” . This, as Mediazona drew attention to , is stated  in the Wikipedia section with a list of pages banned in Russia.

The agency believes that the articles contain “inaccurate information” about the “special operation” in Ukraine, including “information about attacks on civilian infrastructure, numerous casualties among the civilian population of Ukraine and in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces.”

The materials were entered into the register of information disseminated in violation of the law on May 25 and June 1, respectively. According to the requirements of Roskomnadzor, Wikipedia must remove articles within a day from the date of receipt of the department’s notification. When they were received is not specified.
