The missiles received now are already enough to sink the entire Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.

This was announced by the speaker of the Odessa Regional Military Administration Sergei Bratchuk.

Bratchuk noted that, according to American experts, five Harpoon anti-ship missiles would be needed to disable an aircraft carrier, four to destroy a cruiser, and two to destroy a destroyer; one missile is capable of causing serious damage when it hits a small ship or boat. For example, two Iranian ships were sunk by Harpoon missiles in the Persian Gulf.

“Now we have received so many Harpoons that we can sink the entire Russian Black Sea Fleet. Why not?” he commented.

Bratchuk described how Harpoon missiles work. After completing the launch hill, the rocket descends to a height of 15 meters above sea level and then carries out a march flight. Then it drops to 2 meters and hits the target.

  1. Now I understand the delivery fairy tales. When they say,we will deliver certain weapons, or are still in discussion in Washington, or where-ever……………….the weapons are already delivered in real time and working on the frontline. Great!
Odesa is full of Harpoon missiles!

In the media the discussion so-called moves on…..

If the author is referring to normal ships, then we can halve these numbers for russian junk. 2 Neptune missiles sunk a Russian cruiser, so why would it need 4 Harpoons to do the same job?

    • I think that was because the Neptune missiles weren’t enough: I think the Neptune missiles hit missiles that were on the deck of the Moskva as it had an anti-air missile system.

Also even these exploding weren’t the final nail in the coffin, but the uncontrollable fire that broke out.

Maybe fewer missiles than described in the article will be enough, but than also a bit more luck is required.

I think the number of missiles needed is just based on the tonnage and the average number of missiles you would expect are needed to sink the ship, but of course where you hit the ship is also important.

  3. Storm also helped Moskva become a scuba attraction. Black sea just got a whole lot more interesting.
May Putlers fleet litter the bottom of it. Words out some m109s (older brother of Paladin) have entered the scene along with the Harpoons, hopefully NSMs, and HIMARs as well. And yes Veth by the time it’s being talked about, in several cases it has already been happening. :)) Slava Ukraini!!! Heroyam Slava!!!
