According to the head of state, such a decision could put an end to the economy of our state.

The US authorities did not believe in Ukraine, so a year before the war they offered to evacuate people and start digging trenches.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with a Dutch publication, writes  Channel 24 .

Zelensky said that the Ukrainian authorities and the military were ready for a Russian attack. At the same time, the US offered to prepare for this. Like, a year before the start of the war, it was necessary to take out the population of Ukraine and dig trenches. According to the head of state, such a decision could put an end to the economy of our state.

“I don’t agree with this because it’s not worth creating an unnecessary panic. This will affect our financial situation, budget and economy … We realized that the value of our currency will fall, and the money of people and companies will leave the country. And I think that there were big risks,” Zelensky said.

The President expressed his conviction that these months of war proved that the decision taken by the top leadership was the right one. Today, according to Zelensky, the state budget lacks at least 5 billion. However, he did not specify what kind of currency he was talking about.
