“I constantly receive information about a large number of wounded Russian soldiers in hospitals and sanatoriums of the temporarily occupied peninsula. Medical institutions cannot cope with such a load, there is a catastrophic lack of blood. In this regard, a forced campaign of blood donation is actively being conducted in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The Central Republican Clinical Hospital issued a special order stating that it is necessary to increase the supply of blood of all categories for 1,500 recipients and temporarily stop the provision of free medical services,” the Ombudsman said.

According to her, the wards in the military hospital in Sevastopol are overcrowded, and additional beds are being placed for the wounded. In some rooms there are up to 40 people.

“In order to replenish the blood bank, the occupation authorities require entrepreneurs to send workers to blood donation points. At the same time, anyone can become a donor – no medical documents are required, no examination is carried out. People are forced to become donors in order not to lose their jobs,” Denisova said. .

We will remind, earlier Denisova said that the State Duma of Russia proposes to force captured Ukrainian soldiers to donate blood for the wounded occupiers.

She stressed that the practice of forced donation was common in Nazi concentration camps.
