According to the Ombudsman, mass sexual crimes are Russia’s war tactics to destroy the Ukrainian people.
Mothers of two- and three-year-old children who died as a result of rape by the invaders instructed the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova to tell the world about the crimes of Russia.
The Ombudsman announced this in her Telegram channel.
She spoke at the opening of the House of Russian War Crimes in Davos as part of the World Economic Forum and stressed that the civilian population suffers most from the war in Ukraine.
“Every day, 700-800 of our citizens contact the Ombudsman’s hotline, who report war crimes of the Russian Federation. 1,500 citizens found the courage to turn to the psychological help line and talk about the most terrible crimes – sexual, torture, torture. I have an instruction from the mothers of two – and three-year-old children who died in terrible agony from rape by the Russian military, to inform the world about this horror,” the message says.
Denisova noted that mass sexual crimes are Russia’s war tactics to destroy the people of Ukraine, “this is a weapon to break the Ukrainian spirit, but it will not work.”
“We will speak for the world to know! We all want peace, but not at the cost of our women, girls and boys! Only the victory of the people of Ukraine! And it will definitely happen,” the Ombudsman summed up.
As UNIAN reported earlier, more than 230 children were killed in Ukraine at the hands of Russian invaders as of May 19 . As a result of hostile actions, more than 427 Ukrainian children were injured.
