Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Kharkiv rescuers have cleared the rubble at 98 sites destroyed as a result of enemy shelling. More than 150 dead bodies were pulled out from under the rubble.
Anatoly Toryanik, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv Region, spoke about this on the air of the national telethon.
“In Kharkov, our units completely dismantled 98 locations where there are rubble. Unfortunately, more than 150 bodies of the dead were seized from under the rubble. During the operational rescue work, our units rescued more than 250 people,” he said.
Toryanik said that Severnaya Saltovka, Pyatikhatki, the village of Zhukovsky, Rogan and Horizon were subjected to the most massive shelling in Kharkov.
Recall that in Severnaya Saltovka in Kharkov, almost all high-rise buildings were destroyed to the ground , just like the buildings in Borodianka.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on May 20, the construction of housing for those who lost it because of the war started in Kharkiv . According to the mayor of the city, as a result of the war, about 30% of the entire housing stock was destroyed. He also noted that during the construction of new microdistricts, the experience gained during the war will be taken into account.
As of April 21, 1,929 houses have been destroyed in Kharkiv.
