In the Zhytomyr region, traffic was opened by a temporary crossing over the Irsha River, near the village of Ukrainka on the M-07 Kyiv-Kovel-Yagodyn highway.

This was announced by Minister of Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov, the ministry’s press service reports .

He explained that the main bridge was damaged by an air strike by the Russian occupiers, and traffic was closed.

“A temporary crossing was arranged for the safe passage of transport. The construction lasted about three weeks. During this time, specialists carried out excavation work, arranged the rubble base, concreted the billboard and transition slabs, installed appropriate road signs,” said the Minister.

According to Kubrakov, the damaged bridge will be inspected by specialists, after which decisions will be made on its further restoration.

It is noted that as a result of hostilities on the M-07 highway in the Kyiv region, three man-made structures were destroyed, in the Zhytomyr region – one. To date, traffic for vehicles is provided for all destroyed buildings in two areas.
