Russia bans five dead Americans for life, including McCain

It is noteworthy that the Russian authorities are aware of their death, but consider it necessary to maintain the sanctions regime against them.

The Russian “black list” includes at least five deceased US citizens who are subject to a lifetime ban on entry into Russia .

This is evidenced by the list  published by  the Russian Foreign Ministry.

It is noteworthy that the Russian authorities are aware of their deaths, but consider it necessary to maintain the sanctions regime. Among the 963 sanctioned Americans, five people are marked “deceased” and the date of death.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in an official explanation notes that they are subject to a “ban on entry (to Russia) on a permanent basis.

In particular, ex-Senator John McCain (died 2018), ex-Congresswoman Elsie Hastings (died 2021), former First Deputy Director of the CIA Melissy Drisco, ex-Judge Stephen O’Neill, former US military Jeremy Seavits are denied entry. who died earlier this year.

As UNIAN reported earlier, US President Joe Biden and his son Hunter, famous actor Morgan Freeman  and Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg are also included in the list of people who are banned from entering the Russian Federation  for life.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that these are “retaliatory measures against anti-Russian sanctions that are constantly being imposed by the United States.”

  1. Hmmm 🤔. I’d like to say, “GOOD!!!” At this point, I don’t think I could EVER trust putin and his brutish thugs with the dead bodies of ANY Americans.

    I’d also like to say for the record, that I actually WANT putin to ban all the rest of my fellow Americans. Certainly that I want him to ban me, because I want to laugh at him as I enjoy my visit to Ukraine, and equally so, to enjoy NOT visiting Russia.

  2. No losses on that list. McCain was insane and has acted it since he got back from the “Hanoi Hilton.” Everyone held there was off balance when they came back. It’s not limited to the McCainiac. It’s why he never made admiral, and it was no loss to the Navy when he retired.

    Being banned from entering Russia is a reward, not a retaliation.
