The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a pontoon bridge with Russian equipment at the Seversky Donets crossing on May 12.

“This afternoon, May 12, the Rashists tried to evacuate the trapped troops of the RF Armed Forces. The one that two days ago was able to cross the Seversky Donets, but dispersed under the blows of the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the journalists share.

Rashists brought another pontoon and expectedly received arrivals at the crossing.

It is specified that in 4 days of unsuccessful attempts to cross, the enemy lost more than 70 pieces of equipment and two infantry battalions with engineers.

According to InformNapalm, the 74th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the RF Armed Forces (military unit 21005) suffered the heaviest losses. The servicemen of this unit have been taking part in the aggression against Ukraine since 2014.

Earlier, the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Viktor Andrusiv, reported on the destruction of an entire armored personnel carrier from this brigade. Apparently, it was just about this operation.

The situation at the front

The Armed Forces of Ukraine regularly beat enemy troops trying to create pontoon crossings across the Seversky Donets. According to the head of the Lugansk OVA, Sergei Gaidai, this road has already become the “second Chernobaevka” for the Rashists due to heavy losses.

The invaders are trying to completely capture Rubizhne and go to Severodonetsk.

British intelligence confirms that the enemy suffers heavy losses in manpower and equipment in battles with the Ukrainian army. Some units of the RF Armed Forces were withdrawn from the Kharkov region.

Now the occupiers have concentrated on preventing the Armed Forces of Ukraine from reaching the border with Russia.
