Another six captured Russian invaders received real terms for crimes committed in the occupied Ukrainian territories.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine, according to the court verdict, they received from eight to 15 years in prison.

Systematic work continues to bring war criminals to justice in different regions of Ukraine.

Thus, in the Kyiv region, SBU investigators, in cooperation with the Office of the Prosecutor General, identified three more Russian soldiers involved in atrocities in the Buchansky district. It was established that these persons killed and tortured local residents, conducted interrogations, illegally seized private houses and looted. The issue of putting them on the international wanted list is being resolved.

In the Luhansk and Vinnitsa regions, according to the materials of the SBU, six militants of illegal armed formations of the Russian occupation forces were convicted. They were taken prisoner during the fighting in February-March.

In particular, two residents of the temporarily occupied Dolzhansk went to the “service” in the “2 OMBR 2 AK of the People’s Militia of the LPR”. They fought against Ukraine as a “gunner” and “driver”. They were taken prisoner near Shchastia and Kremennaya.

The second militant had been fighting in the “reconnaissance unit” and “UAV group” since 2015, he was taken prisoner in a battle near Kremennaya. Three more members of the “Army of the L/DPR” tried to break through the defenses in the Mykolaiv direction. They were found guilty of treason.

Three militants were sentenced to 15 years in prison, two to ten, and another to eight years in prison.

In the Chernihiv and Kyiv regions, the SBU discovered two caches in which they kept a large number of cartridges and ammunition.

More than 500 shells of 30 mm caliber for the BMP-2 automatic gun were found on the territory of one of the settlements in the Chernihiv region. The ammunition was carefully hidden by the Russian occupation troops. They were planned to be used in a re-invasion.

Another cache was found in the apartment of a resident of the Kyiv region. Law enforcement officers seized hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, machine guns, almost 30,000 cartridges of various calibers.
