“By the end of this year, Azerbaijani gas supplies to Europe are expected to reach more than 10 billion cubic meters,” he said on Twitter.

As reported, in 2021 the country exported 19.2 billion cubic meters of gas, including more than 8 billion cubic meters – to Europe. Thus, in 2022 the supply of Azerbaijani gas to the region will increase by 25%.

In the first quarter of 2022, gas exports from the country to Europe amounted to 2.6 billion cubic meters (an increase of 2.4 times). In total, exports from Azerbaijan in January-March this year amounted to about 5.9 billion cubic meters.

Currently, Azerbaijani gas is supplied to Georgia, Turkey and Europe through the Southern Gas Corridor (PGC) system. Deliveries to Europe began on December 31, 2020 through the TAP gas pipeline, which is a component of PGK.

It will be recalled that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that the country could double gas exports to Italy . At the same time, it is necessary to increase the capacity of the Trans-Adriatic Gas Pipeline (TAP). Джерело:
