General Christopher Cavoli, who served as commander of the US Army in Europe and Africa, will become the Supreme Commander of NATO Allied Forces in Europe.
This was reported in the Pentagon. According to the US Department of Defense, Cavoli’s candidacy was nominated by US President Joe Biden, and it was also agreed upon in the alliance.

Well this General graduated from Yale University with a Master of Arts in Russian and East European Studies in 1997 so let’s hope he knows what he’s doing even though he was born in Germany.
Was he born to a military father in Germany? I know several retired Army officers who were born in Europe while their fathers were stationed in Europe.
I don’t know but it was west Germany, so that’s good.
