Russian troops are moving the separate units of the Eastern Military District from Belgorod Region to Izium, Kharkiv Region.

     

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

      

“In the Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy is focusing efforts to maintain the captured frontiers and inflict fire damage to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In order to strengthen the group, Russian troops are moving the separate units of the Eastern Military District from Belgorod Region towards the city of Izium,” the report states.

     

Russian invaders attempted to launch an offensive in the direction of Sulyhivka and Dovhenke but failed to succeed. In order to cover the groups of Russian troops in the Kharkiv and Izium directions, the enemy is trying to deploy air defense forces and units.

      

In the Eastern Operational Zone, Russian forces continue to carry out an offensive to gain full control over Donetsk Region and Luhansk Region and maintain a land route with the temporarily occupied Crimea.

     

Russian troops continue to advance in the Lyman and Sievierodonetsk directions, attempting to seize Rubizhne, Popasna and Kurakhove areas. These attempts are unsuccessful; battles are raging.

      

In the Siverskyi direction, Russian invaders opened fire on the positions of Ukrainian defenders near such settlements as Kindrativka, Katerynivka, Svarkove and Bilokopytove.

      

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy continues to launch artillery strikes on Ukrainian positions.

      

In the Southern Bug direction, Russian troops did not take active offensive actions, launching isolated attacks on Ukrainian positions.

      

In the Bessarabian direction, no significant changes were recorded.

     

In the Mykolaiv direction, the enemy intensified air reconnaissance in the operational depth of the defensive positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, presumably in order to expose the presence and nature of the reserve forces.

      

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, Russian troops did not take active actions. No significant changes were recorded.

       

Over the past day, the Ukrainian air defense units of the Air Force and the Land Forces have hit 10 enemy air targets: one plane and nine Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

       

Ukrainian defenders repulsed 14 enemy attacks in Donetsk region and Luhansk Region, having destroyed 11 Russian tanks, seven artillery systems, 28 armored vehicles and 14 motor vehicles.
