It is not yet known how many people were killed by the invaders.

Law enforcers discovered a mass grave of about nine hundred civilians on the territory of the Kiev region , which was under Russian occupation.

President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about this in an interview for the Polish media.play video

“There will be conclusions, there will be people arrested, there will be sentences, it’s a matter of time. There are other things when international institutions are really slow to act and sometimes someone cannot be found, brought to justice due to a lack of certain evidence,” he said.

Zelensky recalled the mobile crematoriums in which the Russians burned the dead, which would complicate the investigation.

The President also said that law enforcement officers discovered a new mass grave of the dead.

“They are cleaning up the traces… There were so many killed that, despite the fact that they burned, they have now again found the grave of 900 people in the Kyiv region. How many people died in total – no one knows. There will be consequences, there will be an investigation, there will be later population census” We need to find all the people, we don’t know how many of them… Our investigating authorities and law enforcement agencies will condemn all of them, but international recognition is important for us,” the head of state said.

He stressed that there are people in Ukraine who “will look for them all.”

“And this is not a threat. I speak as a father, as a man. I know that we have many such people. Therefore, someone will wait for the international court, and someone will wait for the night,” Zelensky added.

As UNIAN wrote, two  mass graves  with the bodies of nine Ukrainian civilians killed by Russian invaders were found in Borodyanka, Kiev region.

Hundreds of new graves and a whole cemetery of destroyed cars appeared in Irpin after the occupiers were driven out .
