The Rashist fleet suffered another loss – this time, the Rasul Gamzatov border guard ship of project 22460 was damaged.

When crossing the Volga-Don Canal from the Caspian Sea to the Sea of ​​Azov, the patrol boat, upon contact with the tugboat, received damage to the propeller-motor group with the need to replace the shaft and propeller, so it failed for a long time.

Now it is in the port of Azov in anticipation of repair work.

“Rasul Gamzatov” was the last, 14th ship of this type (code “Hunter”), built by order of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation. Entered service at the end of November 2021. It differs from other ships of the project by installing a new combat module – the Gibka turret launcher for the use of Igla and Iva MANPADS, as well as Ataka anti-tank missiles. The standard armament of the ship is one six-barreled 30-mm AK-630M gun mount and two 12.7-mm Kord machine guns. It is possible to base the Ka-226 helicopter or the S-100 UAV.

The length of the ship is 62.5 meters, the width is 11 meters, the total displacement is 750 tons.
