Russia deployed 2,000 troops to Ukraine from occupied territories of Georgia – General Staff

Russia has deployed about 2,000 of its military personnel from the occupied territories of Georgia to Ukraine.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a summary  of operational information as of 06:00 on the Russian invasion.

The General Staff notes that, according to available information, the Russian invaders continue to have problems with staffing units. It is said that the conscripts of the 26th Tank Regiment from the 47th Tank Division, who signed contracts, after their participation in the war with Ukraine, began to file reports with a request to terminate the contract and send them for further service to the point of permanent deployment.

Also, the General Staff reports that the grouping of the Joint Forces in the Donetsk and Lugansk directions over the past day repulsed 4 attacks of Russian invaders. Our soldiers destroyed 7 tanks, 7 armored vehicles, 2 vehicles and an anti-tank gun, and the enemy also suffered losses in manpower.

As reported, the General Staff named the probable target of the “withdrawal” of Russian troops.
