The Russian-French company PowerJet has stopped maintenance and repair of SaM146 engines for Superjet 100 aircraft . The supply of spare parts has been stopped.
This is reported by the Russian Interfax .
PowerJet, which is registered in France, announced the suspension of the contract after EU and US sanctions against Russia came into force. The company stopped deliveries of spare parts for SaM146, technical support and repair of engines, including the return of repaired engines, as well as providing them for use on a leasing basis.
In this regard, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation decided to use spare parts and replacement SaM146 engines. Also in Russia, they proposed to take away the property of foreign companies that refused to work on Russian territory.
In turn, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, said in March that there would be enough spare parts for servicing the SSJ100 in Russia “for a considerable time.”
According to him, this year, customers will receive at least 19 SSJ100s, including new factory and previously unsold “white tails” – for them “there is a complete set of foreign equipment.” Manutrov pointed out that certification of the imported version of the Superjet is expected in 2023, they want to equip them with Russian-made PD-8 engines.
