US President Joe Biden has said he is not retracting his remarks that President Vladimir Putin cannot remain in power.
“I’m not downplaying anything,” President Biden said Monday at the White House, emphasizing that he’s not voicing a policy change, but expressing an opinion based on his emotions.
“I expressed moral indignation at the behavior of Putin and the actions of this man,” Biden said. The US President also noted that he was not going to apologize for his words.
Biden continued: “I was expressing exactly what I said – I was expressing the moral outrage that I felt towards this man. I was not talking about changing policy.
