Tomorrow’s NATO leaders ‘ summit in Brussels will agree on providing Ukraine with equipment to defend against chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this at a briefing, European Pravda reports.
“I expect that tomorrow the allies will agree on providing additional support (to Ukraine). This includes assistance in the field of cybersecurity, as well as equipment that will help Ukraine defend itself against chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats,” Stoltenberg said.
He confirmed the desire of the Alliance to prevent the war from going beyond Ukraine.
“We are determined to do everything we can to support Ukraine. But we have a responsibility to ensure that the war does not go beyond Ukraine and does not become a conflict between Russia and NATO,” he said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky will take part in the NATO summit on March 24 in video format. He will talk about the need to stop Russia’s war crimes against Ukrainians and civilian infrastructure.
In addition, on March 22, it became known that the possible use of chemical weapons by Russia in Ukraine would be discussed at the NATO summit.
