According to the results of the first 21 days of opposition to the Russian military invasion, the enemy continues to suffer losses and retreats in certain directions.

This is stated in the operational information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of the morning of March 16, 2022.

“The state, position and nature of the actions of the defense forces have not undergone significant changes over the past 24 hours. The Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to inflict crushing blows on groupings of occupying troops in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and go on the counteroffensive in certain directions,” the General Staff informs.

According to the results of the previous day, due to the actions of the air defense of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, three aircraft were destroyed (two of them Su-34). In addition, one helicopter, three operational-tactical UAVs and two cruise missiles were shot down. Additional information is being finalized.

Aviation of the Air Force of Ukraine continued to carry out missile and bomb strikes against ground targets. 9 air raids were carried out on the columns of equipment and the accumulation of occupying troops.

At the same time, the occupying forces continue to carry out missile and bomb strikes against the infrastructure and densely populated areas of Ukrainian cities.

“The enemy continues to suffer losses and retreats in certain directions. The main efforts of the invaders are focused on securing and holding the previously occupied lines and defense areas,” the General Staff noted.
