The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has reported that 474 civilians have died since the start of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

According to  statistics , 861 people were injured. According to the UN, real losses could be higher.

“UNHCHR believes that the real figures are much higher, especially in government-controlled territory, as many reports from places where such incidents have taken place still require additional confirmation, while obtaining information from some places where hostilities continue, are delayed,” the UN said.

It is noted that other statistics, in particular, may be in Volnovakha, Mariupol and Izyum.

“The majority of civilian deaths or injuries were caused by the use of explosive devices with a large area of effect, including shelling from heavy artillery and multiple launch rocket systems, as well as rocket and air strikes,” the statistics say.

Note that today, March 9, began the 14th day of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine . Russian troops continue to bombard and shell Ukrainian cities, in particular residential areas, although they suffer serious losses due to the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
