Japanese corporation Nissan Motor Co. stopped the export of cars to Russia and expects the cessation of auto production at a plant in St. Petersburg.
This is stated in the message on the corporation’s website.
“Regarding our Russian operations, Nissan has suspended vehicle exports to Russia and expects production at our plant in St. Petersburg to cease soon,” the statement said.
In addition, the company is creating a fund of 2.5 million euros to overcome the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
In particular, through this fund, Nissan will donate 1 million euros to the Red Cross and other non-profit organizations for humanitarian support of families and children affected by the war.
Nissan has also committed 1.5 million euros to this special fund to ensure financial stability and the ongoing support of the corporation’s employees and their families.
In some cases, the company will provide support in the form of vehicles.
