Residents of Kazakhstan took to the streets in support of Ukraine.
Journalist Ayan Sharipbaev told UNIAN about this.
“This morning in Alma-Ata there is a rally against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. People have gathered in the park,” Sharipbayev said.
Residents of Alma-Ata came to the rally with posters “No to war”, “Hands off Ukraine”, “Stop Putler”. Almost everyone came to the rally with Ukrainian flags.
People shout “Putin Kaput” and “Putin X****” (Putin Huylo).
“By the end of the rally, there were five thousand,” Sharipbayev added. According to him, people in Alma-Ata are not dispersed, as the mayor’s office gave permission for the rally.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Kazakhstan declared its neutrality in Russia’s war against Ukraine. They are in favor of resolving the situation through negotiations.
Finally, people in Kazakhstan are protesting! I’m still waiting for the Belarusians to find their courage.
