The loss of aviation equipment of the Russian army as of 23:00 on March 5 is 44 aircraft and 44 helicopters.

This is reported by the Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“44 planes and 44 helicopters go hand in hand,” the report says.

In particular, today, March 5, the Russian invaders again suffered losses from the air defense of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

In particular, three helicopters were independently shot down by a Marine of the Ukrainian Navy;

• 1 Su-25 attack aircraft and 1 helicopter were shot down by servicemen of the operational command “South” of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
• two Su-34 fighter-bombers were shot down by servicemen of the operational command “North” of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
• two Su-30SM aircraft were shot down by servicemen of the Yug air command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The air defense also shot down the Orlan-10 UAV and several cruise missiles flying into peaceful Ukrainian cities.

“It is worth noting the work of the strike aviation of the Air Force – Su-24m bombers and Su-25 attack aircraft, which carried out several air raids on enemy columns, inflicting powerful missile and bomb strikes,” the message says.

Recall that according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine  , more than 10 thousand Russian invaders have already been destroyed in Ukraine. Also, Russian troops lost 269 tanks, 945 armored fighting vehicles, 105 artillery systems.
