Russian troops are approaching the second largest nuclear facility in Ukraine.

This was stated by US Representative to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield, reports CNN .

“Russian forces are now 20 miles away and approaching Ukraine’s second largest nuclear facility,” she said, without naming the station.

According to Energoatom, Ukraine’s second largest nuclear facility, in terms of power generation, is the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant in Mykolaiv Oblast in southern Ukraine.

“President Putin must stop this humanitarian catastrophe by ending this war and ending these shameless attacks on the people of Ukraine,” the ambassador added.

Thomas-Greenfield said the imminent danger remained after a “nearly avoided” disaster last night, referring to a fire that broke out at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant early Friday morning local time in Ukraine as a result of Russian troops shelling the site.

“The international community must be unanimous in demanding that Russian forces stop their dangerous offensive. And, as I said, the people of Ukraine are counting on us, and we must not let them down,” she said.

Recall, earlier on Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky  accused Russia of “nuclear terror” after Russian troops attacked a nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine.

Haven’t these people learned yet that words are completely useless for a monster like putler?
ACTION is what’s needed now. Lead, tungsten and TNT, not warm gusts of CO2.

What is your opinion?
