The Swedish chain IKEA , which produces furniture and household goods, has announced the suspension of its work in Russia and Belarus.

“The war in Ukraine has a huge impact on the people and leads to serious disruptions in the supply chain and trade conditions, therefore, the groups of companies have decided to temporarily suspend the activities of IKEA in Russia,” the message says.
Thus, Inter IKEA Group decided to suspend exports and imports to Russia and Belarus. In addition, the company decided to suspend all production operations of IKEA Industry in Russia. This also means that all deliveries from all sub-suppliers to these divisions are suspended.
In addition, Ingka Group (the parent company of IKEA) has decided to suspend all IKEA retail operations in Russia.
At the same time, the IKEA Foundation announced an immediate donation of 20 million euros for humanitarian assistance to those displaced by the conflict in Ukraine.
