Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities are suffering from enemy missile strikes.

The eighth day of opposition to the Russian military invasion continues. This night, the occupying forces again resorted to tactics of shelling residential areas of large cities.

This is stated in the operational report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to steadfastly defend certain borders and counterattack and block the occupiers’ forces in various directions,” the statement said. 

In the Volyn direction, the enemy continues to hold demonstrations along the state border.

In the Polissya direction, the enemy is trying to carry out offensive operations in the area of ​​the settlements of Kozarovychi, Vyshhorod, Fastiv, and Obukhiv. Field logistics camps have been set up in the Borodyanka, Katyuzhanka and Gavronshchyna districts.

In the northern direction, the Russian occupiers are trying to reach the northern outskirts of Kyiv, without success in Chernihiv, Nizhyn, Sumy, Lebedyn, and Okhtyrka.

“Part of the BTGR forces from the 200th Omsbr 14th AK of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Armed Forces, which has actually lost combat capability, is regrouping and trying to attack in the direction of Brovary and Kyiv.… Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities suffer from enemy missile strikes,” in the General Staff.

Enemy units and subdivisions were concentrated in the areas of the settlements of Baryshevka, Nova Basan, and Lyubech. 

In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy is conducting an offensive operation in the areas of Zolochiv, Kharkiv, and Balakliya.

“[The enemy] is trying to continue the offensive in the direction of Lozova, catastrophically in need of replenishment of lost equipment and personnel,” the General Staff said.

In the Donetsk direction, the occupiers continue offensive operations in the areas of Novy Aidar, Volnovakha and Mariupol. 

Part of the enemy forces continues to operate in the areas of settlements Energodar, Vasylivka, Tokmak, Novopetrivka. After regrouping and introducing part of the operational reserves, the offensive continues in order to reach the outskirts of Zaporozhye and Mariupol.

It is not possible to capture the latter in order to reach the administrative border of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

In the Taurian direction, the enemy does not abandon attempts to attack. After regrouping and introduction of a part of operational reserves, I concentrated the main efforts in the direction of Nikolaev – Voznesensk.

In the Black Sea, enemy fleet groups continue to fire on civilian ships and capture sailors. In the water area there is a movement of a landing detachment of four large landing ships and three rocket boats in the direction of Odessa.

In the area of ​​the settlement of Balovne the invader landed a small landing, which was destroyed.
