Highway Kopti-Bachevsk in the Sumy region under the control of Ukrainian troops.

This was stated in a video message to FB by the chairman of the Sumy Regional State Administration Dmitry Zhivitsky.

According to him, on March 1, the Kopti-Bachevsk highway was partially liberated by Ukrainian troops, and partially left by Russian troops. “Our people blocked the entrance from the Russian Federation to Ukraine, made blockages in two places – these are trees, these are blocks, these are other barrier structures,” he said and added that now this route is controlled by the Sumy Oblast Terodefense. According to him, roadblocks have been set up.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on February 26, the Russian military seized the Kopti-Bachevsk highway in the Sumy region. The route starts in Kopty (a village in the Chernihiv region), passes through Baturin, Krolevets and ends at the Bachevsk checkpoint, which is on the border with the Russian Federation. This is part of the Kyiv-Moscow highway.

  1. That would not mean the columns are cut off, but they will have to go amore circuitous route to get their supply trains through to the troops. Things may be slowly coming to an end in Ukraine. The mass surrender of Russian troops would be delicious!
