The ambassadors of the European Union agreed on a decision to disconnect seven Russian banks from the international interbank system SWIFT.

According to Bloomberg , banks are planning to disconnect from SWIFT: VTB, Bank of Russia, Otkritie, Novikombank, Promsvyazbank, Sovcombank and VEB.RF.

The measures were taken in response to the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine.

A decision is expected to be made at night.

At the same time, Sberbank and Gazprombank were not subject to restrictions.

At the same time, it is reported that representatives of some countries, in particular Poland, have made efforts to disconnect more Russian banks from the SWIFT system.

The list of banks may change by the time the decision officially takes effect.

Sure, be careful to leave some channels open. Money is STILL more important than lives and an entire, brave and beautiful country.
    I gotta go vomit…

      • Yeah this is the time to go full throttle with sanctions and not half measures. Sanctions won’t stop Putin because he only cares about himself so the only hope is that Russia turns on him. Otherwise we will be at this for weeks maybe months.
