All Russian clubs may lose the right to play under the auspices of UEFA.

UEFA is going to suspend Russian clubs / uefa.org

On Monday, February 28, the UEFA Executive Committee will be held , which will consider the participation of all Russians in competitions under this auspices.

The Meczyki publication reports that Russia will be removed due to the invasion of their troops into the territory of Ukraine. 

It is noted that the sanctions are most actively promoted by UEFA Vice President Zbigniew Boniek.

In addition, it is reported that sanctions from UEFA will force FIFA to act. This means that the Russian national football team may be suspended from participation in the playoffs of the 2022 World Cup. 

We add that earlier the national teams of Poland and Sweden refused to play against Russia in the selection for the 2022 World Cup. 

Recall, on February 25, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) called on all sports federations to postpone or cancel all competitions in Russia and Belarus .

On the same day, the English football club Manchester United announced that it was terminating its sponsorship contract with the Russian airline Aeroflot . In addition,  UEFA decided to deprive Russia of the right to host the Champions League final, and the Formula 1 leadership  canceled the Sochi Grand Prix .
