The German government on Saturday approved a decision to supply Ukraine with 1,000 anti-tank weapons and 500 Stinger surface-to-air missiles from Bundeswehr stocks to support Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said this, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“The Russian invasion of Ukraine marks a turning point. It threatens our entire post-war order. It is our duty to do our best to support Ukraine in defending itself against Putin’s invading army. Germany stands closely by Ukraine’s side,” Scholz said.

The weapons will be delivered as quickly as possible to Ukraine, he said.

  1. Apparently Portugal has balls.
Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa said Friday that the country would be sending reinforcements to join Ukrainian soldiers on the ground to help secure their borders
When asked for a specific number of that would be sent to support Ukraine, Costa said the infantry company would include 175 troopers.

  2. The people that I know in Crimea are supporting the Ukrainians! They are writing to me about this, despite the dangers involved. Unbelievable! They are calling the Ukrainians fighters “tough as reinforced concrete”!
