EU threatens Belarus with disconnection from SWIFT

EU foreign ministers will meet tomorrow to reach a political agreement on SWIFT sanctions.

The European Union does not exclude the possibility of disconnecting Belarus from the international payment system SWIFT .

This was reported by Radio Liberty journalist Rikard Jozwiak.

“The foreign ministers of the EU countries will meet tomorrow via videoconference to reach a political agreement on SWIFT sanctions. There is also a proposal to disconnect Belarus from SWIFT,” he wrote.

As UNIAN reported earlier, today, February 26, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba announced the start of technical preparations for making a decision to  disconnect Russia from SWIFT .
