Radiation background in Chornobyl exclusion zone increased

10:03, 25 February 2022 – 112 Ukraine

No information about the actual reason why this happened yet

A change of the radiation background is observed in the Chornobyl exclusion zone that is captured by Russian troops. The State Inspection for Nuclear Regulation of Ukraine reported that on February 25.

According to the automatic system for control of the radiation level, an increase occurred. This confirms that control levels of doses of gamma rays in many surveillance posts have grown.

Currently, it remains impossible to find out the actual reasons why the radiation background had increased.

Earlier, the reports said that Russian troops took over Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. All of the local infrastructure is under their control now. No casualties were reported.

  1. The reason is simple; the ionized radiation particles are still in the ground, which have been buried by debris from forests and so forth. This reduced the radiation levels over the past 36 years. Of course, when heavy vehicles roll over the ground and shells explode, these particles get exposed and/or get thrown into the air.
Sending troops through such an area is just one more piece of evidence of not only the rat’s inanity, but those of his military staff’s too.
