The United States will hand over speedboats manufactured by Metal Shark to the Ukrainian Maritime Guard

The United States will transfer modern high-speed boats from Metal Shark to the Ukrainian Maritime Guard.

The transfer of speedboats of the Defiant and Fearless projects is planned for 2022.

This was reported on one of the slides shown during the meeting of future maritime border guards with the leadership of the regional department of Maritime Protection.

According to the information on the slide, the structural unit of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine will receive eleven boats of these projects.

The boats of the Defiant and Fearless projects are manufactured by an American shipbuilding company that specializes in boats with the Metal Shark aluminum hull.

The company has 26 different boats in the Defiant project. The Maritime Guard did not say which Defiant Ukraine would receive.

Judging by the photo on the slide, the Marine Guard is waiting for fire-fighting speedboats model “Defiant 38”.

“38 Defiant Fire Rescue” is an aluminum single-hull vessel suitable for use in various coastal conditions.

The boat is fast, very maneuverable and is an excellent means of emergency response on shore. Defiant 38 is in service with the US Coast Guard, the US Navy, foreign forces, fire departments and numerous law enforcement agencies. The ship can be equipped with a large set of firefighting equipment. From fire pumps and gun barrels to foam tanks, hydrant connections, control and monitoring communication systems.
