This list includes three more Ukrainians. They were awarded for activities related to Russian aggression.
The list of sanctions includes four Ukrainians, according to the website of the US Treasury Department . Among them is Taras Kozak , owner of 112, NewsOne and ZIK, and an MP from the Opposition Platform For Life party .
Also on this list is another MP from the OPZH , Oleh Voloshyn , former MP from the Party of Regions Volodymyr Oliynyk and former Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Volodymyr Sivkovych .
They will be subject to an asset freeze and a travel ban.
The actions of these four Ukrainians fall under President Joe Biden’s decree, which aims to punish those involved in Russia’s foreign aggression.
We will remind, earlier journalists proved that Taras Kozak owned the Russian oil company “Purneft”. It was sold to the “daughter” of the Belarusian Belorusneft, the Yangpur oil company, and the agreement was discussed by Putin and Lukashenko.
Sanctions against Taras Kozak were also imposed by a decision of the National Security and Defense Council. They envisage the closure of the 112 Ukraine, ZIK and NewsOne channels.
Together with Viktor Medvedchuk, he is suspected of treason and attempted looting of national resources in the Ukrainian Crimea, which was temporarily occupied by Russia.
In July 2021, the court seized Taras Kozak’s property.
