According to Osipenko, the Russian authorities used the situation inside Kazakhstan to return it to the “fold of the USSR.”The expert explained the benefits of the Russian Federation in the protests in Kazakhstan / photo REUTERS
The destabilization of the situation in Kazakhstan allowed Russia to strengthen its presence in this country – it is directly related to the protests.
This opinion was expressed on the air of the Ukraine 24 TV channel by international expert Ruslan Osipenko.
The United States, he believes, will no longer be able to help Kazakhstan in any way.
“Because, in fact, it was a special operation of the Russians, who used the confrontation between the elites inside Kazakhstan in order to return Kazakhstan to the fold of the former Soviet Union, which Putin dreamed of before leaving the political arena. It was a lightning-fast operation. This is confirmed by the fact that in fact, now the protests will be curtailed, we will see this in the near future, and Kazakhstan is falling into the zone of influence of the Russian Federation, “says Osipenko, explaining that Russia is strengthening its position before negotiations with the United States.
The expert also added that Ukraine should learn its lesson from the protests in Kazakhstan.
“I believe that everything was done filigree from the point of view of Russia. They were waiting for this request from Tokayev, the incumbent president, in order to actually occupy Kazakhstan, limit its sovereignty. For Ukraine, this is a great example – how we do not need to do and carry out these special operations,” – noted Osipenko.
He called the events in Kazakhstan a signal for NATO – Russia carried out a “legally impeccable” operation.
“They secured the request of the incumbent president, which they wanted to do in Ukraine. But they did not succeed, because [in Ukraine] a civil society was formed, and the society was already acting separately from the country’s leadership. That is, resistance began. In Kazakhstan, the society did not have time to organize And it seems to me that it will not resist separately. Therefore, the protest will be suppressed, and the bases of the Russian Federation will appear there, “he summed up.
