Ukraine is ready for any format of negotiations with Russia, but the same desire to stop the war in Donbas from the Russian side is needed. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated this during a briefing.

“Ukraine is ready for any format of negotiations with the Russian Federation regarding the settlement of this process (the situation in Donbas). We are talking about this openly and not for the first time. The same desire is necessary – to stop the war – from the Russian Federation,” Zelensky said.

Zelensky also advocated for the United States to play a major role in the Normandy format. At the same time, he also announced his readiness for trilateral negotiations to resolve the conflict in Donbas.

Meanwhile, a tripartite meeting between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz and President of France Emmanuel Macron took place in Brussels.

The President of Ukraine thanked Germany and France for their strong support for Ukraine against the background of the military threat from Russia, as well as for the consistent efforts of these countries in the framework of the Normandy format talks.

Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that Ukraine does not give in to any provocations at the border, does not have any aggressive intentions towards other parties and remains committed to diplomatic means of resolving the situation.

  1. What is there to negotiate? The putinazis must first admit that they illegally occupy Donbas and Crimea, accept responsibility for ALL war crimes committed on those sovereign territories, withdraw finally and irrevocably and pay full reparations.
When the above has been achieved, the real work can begin: admission of guilt for the Holodomor and all other historical crimes.
At that point, a normal relationship might be a possibility.
Enemy regimes France and Germany, who slyly pose as honest brokers when they are nothing of the sort, must be banished from any peace negotiations. Only the Budapest signatories should be involved.
