The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine chaired by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal held a meeting on the implementation of public-private partnership in the project of construction and operation of the highway on the route Krakovets – Brody – Rivne.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yulia Svyridenko, Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov, representatives of the Ministry of Finance and project participants.
“Construction of a concession highway is one of the most anticipated projects for the country. The Krakovets-Brody-Rivne highway is to be the first public-private partnership project in the field of road construction and operation. It is necessary to start its implementation as soon as possible, “the Prime Minister stressed.
The Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov said that the collection of information along the route of the project has been completed. All materials were analyzed, traffic intensity measurements and technical design were made, in particular, three variants of the route were developed.
During the discussion, the main parameters of the Krakovets-Brody-Rivne project were presented.
The length of the road should be about 280 km, and the time of the route is expected to be reduced from 4 hours 20 minutes to 2.5 hours.
The road is designed for a speed of 130 km / h, and the project is planned in three stages.
The first works should start next year.
