Ukraine plans to build 15,000 kilometers of highways and 810 bridges and crossings for the next two years.
“13,000 km of roads have already been built. The goal for the next two years is 15,000 kilometers of roads, ”the head of state said, outlining future plans for infrastructure construction.
The President of Ukraine also said that 560 bridges and overpasses have already been built and renovated as part of the national bridge reconstruction program.
“Over the next two years, we plan to connect the shores across Ukraine with another 810 bridges and overpasses, including the Kremenchug and Yampil bridges,” the president said.

Large-scale implementation of projects for the construction and rehabilitation of roads became possible due to the establishment of the Road Fund in Ukraine, the establishment of which was agreed by the decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in November 2016. Later, the Government agreed on the procedure for receiving funds from the Road Fund.
Thus, road workers were able to plan for the reconstruction, overhaul and construction of roads in the medium and long term (5-10 years).
Later, Ukraine’s infrastructure construction and development program underwent some changes and became known as “Large Construction”, marking the next stage of the improved system of construction of Ukrainian roads and incorporating previously uncharacteristic social infrastructure.
