U.S. guided missile destroyer heading for Black Sea

U.S. Navy’s guided missile destroyer Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) is heading for the Black Sea, according to the Twitter account of U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa/U.S. Sixth Fleet.

“USS Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) began its northbound transit to the Black Sea to operate with our NATO Allies & partners in the region!” the tweet said.

USS Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) is the lead ship of the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers. The ship is capable of performing a variety of tasks thanks to its powerful and balanced weapons controlled by the Aegis combat system.

The vessel is part of the Theodore Roosevelt-led carrier battle group.

  1. This one ship will obviously be seen by the Kremlin as an attempt to invade Muscovy. The ship will be quite safe, Muscovy doesn’t attack military that will destroy them.

  2. The Kremlin will see an increase in the use of toilet paper because our lonely ship will scare the crap out of them.
