Putin’s scientific advisor became the owner of a five-star hotel on the shores of the Gulf of Finland

Rector of St. Petersburg State Mining University Vladimir Litvinenko became the sole owner of a five-star hotel in the Solnechnoye village in the Kurortny district of St. Petersburg. This is reported by the ChTD telegram channel with reference to information in the Kontur.Fokus database – a service for checking Russian and foreign counterparties.

Litvinenko, according to the database, belongs to LLC “MAC Harmony”. The Federal List of Tourist Sites of Rostourism includes the hotel “International Academic Center“ Harmony ”LLC“ IAC “Harmony”.

This is an urban-style hotel that received five-star status in 2018. According to the description of the object in the Rostourism database, the hotel has 72 rooms, including one suite and 52 rooms of the first category.

The hotel does not have a website, and, as ChTD found out, no one fits the phone number indicated on the Rostourism website. At the same time, the organization employs only 19 people, and the hotel has more than a billion rubles on its balance sheet, the Telegram channel writes.

In the late 1990s, Vladimir Litvinenko chaired the academic council at which future President Vladimir Putin defended his Ph.D. thesis. In 2000, 2004 and 2012, Litvinenko headed a branch of Putin’s campaign headquarters in St. Petersburg.

In 2021, Russian Forbes included Litvinenko in the annual ranking of dollar billionaires for the first time , estimating his fortune at $ 1.5 billion. Putin’s scientific advisor was able to get into the list of the richest Russians thanks to the rise in prices for PhosAgro shares, in which he owns a 20.98% stake.
