Turkey has ordered 30 Ukrainian engines for Akinci drones
On October 28, the Zaporizhzhya Machine-Building Design Bureau named after Academician OG Ivchenko ordered JSC Motor Sich components for aircraft engines for $ 7.09 million.
By the end of 2022, Motor Sich will supply Ivchenko-Progress with 30 sets of parts and assembly units for the AI-450C engine to complete the AI-450T engine for $ 236,000, or UAH 6.45 million per set. An advance of 40% will be paid by November 12, 2021.
Earlier it was reported that on August 6, 2021 the State Aviation Service issued a certificate type TD0070 for the AI-450T engine developed by Ivchenko-Progress.
The engine is used for unmanned aerial vehicles.
The first prototypes of Turkish Bayraktar Akinci Turkish drones are now equipped with two turbocharged engines of this type.
Also, the version of this engine AI-450T2 is considered as one of the engines for equipping the Ukrainian promising percussion and reconnaissance vehicle “Falcon-300”, on the creation of a prototype of which is working in DKKB “LUCH”.
