hromadske announced that it will transfer part of the team to freelance and close studio shows on YouTube. The reason is the reduction of financial support from international institutions and the need to reduce production costs.
“At the last meeting of members of the NGO” Public Television “a decision was made on the future of the organization. It was decided by a majority of votes to keep the NGO and return to the focus of socio-political media , “hromadske said.
The publication announces that from 2022 they plan to publish more analytical texts and reports, “so that the focus is only on important topics for society.”
“We will use this time to reformat the organization and optimize a number of processes. The need for changes to hromadske has long been discussed among the team, and among colleagues in the shop, and among our loyal audience, “ – said the director of the organization Julia Fedov.
On Youtube, the team will focus on special reports and documentary projects. The editorial office is currently working on a content strategy for 2022.
We will remind, earlier hromadske launched a weekly program on YouTube – hromadske_news , and also an ironic show “Everything is clear with Anton Tymoshenko” .
On February 1, 2021, the public organization Public Television changed its structure : from now on, the functions of the NGO’s Supervisory Board will be performed by a board that will be elected for three years. On July 12, Yevhenia Motorevska became the media’s editor-in-chief . From July 19, 2021 hromadske was headed by the first head of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation Julia Fedov . She was elected by the board of the NGO.
In September 2021, Olena Sadovnik became the director of fundraising at hromadske . She announced that the publication is launching an unscheduled fundraising campaign among all the donors it knows to ensure the smooth running of the editorial office in 2022.

Many pure journalistic platforms are struggling and couldn’t go without their corporate/oligarch sponsors. Fox News/Sky News is the exception. And the advent of Twitter and Facebook have made it even harder though they’re far from journalism people don’t seem to care.
I have often wondered if we could pull off a podcast on this website. I know there is programming for it but we like to remain publicly incognito. Maybe we could just sear sunglasses? 😉 I think it would be a lot of fun and who knows maybe it would catch on.
To establish this site as a global voice we would need articles that are not copy/paste, but individual research and journalism. It may happen in a few years, once i’m cured from cancer and relatively rich again. Just protect our url until it happens! 😎
We are a hybrid grass roots organization with very little overhead, we’re not going anywhere.
