Thus, the EU sanctions for undermining the territorial integrity of Ukraine apply to 185 people and 48 legal entities.
The European Union made a decision to add eight more people to the sanctions list as they contributed to the illegal annexation of Crimea as the Council of Europe reported.
“The Council today decided to impose restrictive measures on an additional eight individuals for actively supporting actions and implementing policies that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Ukraine. The persons added to the EU sanctions list include law enforcement officials – judges, prosecutors, and security officers – responsible for enforcing Russian law in the illegally annexed Crimea and Sevastopol,” the message says.
It is noted that mentioned people have taken biased decisions in politically motivated cases and prosecuted or oppressed opponents of the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol.

The restrictive measures against the persons involved in the sanctions list involve freezing assets in the EU – including a ban on the provision of funds – and a ban on entry into the territory of the block.
As we reported, the Council of the EU approved the extension of the personal sanctions introduced against Russia for aggression in the east of Ukraine and annexation of Crimea.
On June 21, the EU Council extended the sanctions against Russia that were implemented as a response to the occupation of Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula. On July 12, the same authority prolonged the sanctions aimed at certain branches of economy of the Russian Federation until January 31, 2022. The decision was made after the eventual assessment of the current status of implementation of Minsk agreements.

Perhaps sanctioning the guy ultimately responsible for annexing Crimea would make the Kremlin take more notice, than the pathetic nobodies the EU sanction.
