The current elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation may not be recognized by the international community. The reason is the involvement of ORDLO residents in the elections.
The People’s Deputy from the Servant of the People faction and the President’s representative in the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Fedor Venislavsky told about it on air on the Ukraine 24 TV channel .
“Any reaction from a public authority to violations of the rights of Ukrainian citizens in the temporarily occupied territories is always effective. That is, we need to assess these circumstances, assess in a comprehensive manner. And we need to see how international institutions react, including the UN and the European Parliament. , concerning these or those events which we now discuss with you “, – the politician declared.
He reminded that the European Parliament had warned Moscow against violating the fundamental principles of suffrage in the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation. According to him, with this election the Kremlin is trying to show that Russians live in the occupied Ukrainian territories.
“Since in this case we are talking about the election process in the broadest sense of the State Duma, which is elected, including with the participation of political parties, to distinguish the part of the State Duma deputies who will be elected with the participation of Ukrainian citizens living in the temporarily occupied territories, in principle, will be impossible. Therefore, of course, it is necessary to raise the question of the legitimacy of the entire State Duma, “- summed up Venislavsky.
