Up to 150 thousand hryvnia: Ukraine plans to increase payments for the birth of a child
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy unanimously supported as a basis and as a whole the draft law on increasing payments for childbirth.
This was announced by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danil Getmantsev.
In particular, from January 1, 2023, it is proposed to increase payments for the birth of the first child to 50 thousand hryvnia, the second – up to 100 thousand hryvnia, the third – up to 150 thousand hryvnia.
It is also expected to grow up to 15 thousand hryvnia in the size of a lump sum for the first child. On the second – up to 30 thousand hryvnia, on the third – up to 45 thousand hryvnia.
“The bill provides for an increase in the amount of assistance for the birth of a child, which will stimulate an increase in the birth rate of children and will allow families in the first years of a child’s life to provide it with the necessary,” says the explanatory note to the bill.
Earlier, on May 26, the Cabinet approved a draft law “On state assistance to families with children” for an increase in the size of assistance for child birth. For the bill to come into force, the Verkhovna Rada must vote for it.
