The communal services complied with the decision of the Kyiv City Council of July 8
The deputy of the Kyiv City Council Alina Mykhailova states, that a memorial sign in honor of friendship of Kiev and Moscow installed in the square on the Marshal Yakubovsky street, 8 was dismantled, the press service of the Kyiv City Council reports.
“This piece of granite (a memorial sign in honor of the friendship between Kyiv and Moscow) is no longer in Kyiv. And this is our victory. Now the monument is stored in Holosiivskyi district administration and should become an exhibit of the future museum of totalitarianism,” said Mykhailova.
In this way the communal services complied with the decision of the Kyiv City Council of July 8.
A monument in honor of friendship of Kiev and Moscow was established in August, 2001. Holosiivskyi district was called Moscow district then. In July of this year, the City Council decided to dismantle the monument after numerous appeals from residents of the capital.

Not sure why it took so long to remove this monument to totalitarianism, but it should have been blown up into a million pieces. While you’re at it, rename this Marshal Yakubovsky street, to something more suitable. Ukraine don’t need streets named after a general from Belarus who was one of the first to invade Poland in 1939.
Both Russia and islam are unwelcome in civilized societies. Beliefs based on murder, abuse, theft and lies will never last.
A monument to ‘friendship’.
Friends don’t tell you what and when and how to do something.
Friends don’t come into your Garden and rent part of it to people you have never met.
Friends don’t take part of your Garden so you can no longer enjoy it.
This ‘monument should be smashed into little pieces in the same manner as statues of moskali dictators should be.
It is neither wanted nor needed.
