In Odessa, Russians were detained on suspicion of theft from elite cars

Odessa police detained two citizens of a neighboring state suspected of a series of thefts from elite cars.

According to the press service of the GUNP, the detainees had previously been prosecuted for similar crimes.

With the help of special equipment, they got into the cars of the victims and stole their property.

According to the investigation, the 44-year-old and 38-year-old men used cars with license plates of other vehicles for their illegal activities.

They were detained by employees of the Migration Police Department with the force support of a special police battalion.

Now, investigative actions are being carried out with foreigners, including searches of places of residence and the cars in which they moved.

According to part 3 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, according to which the actions of the suspects were qualified, they face up to six years in prison.

Sources of “Dumskaya” in the police clarified that they are talking about citizens of the Russian Federation.
