Nathan Gill about closure of TV channels, pressure on opposition in Ukraine: Situation is horrible

To change it, it is necessary to tell the world about what is happening

The situation with the closure of TV channels and pressure on the opposition in Ukraine is horrible. To change it, it is necessary to tell the world about what is happening as MEP from the UK in 2014-2020 Nathan Gill told to Pershiy Nezalezhniy TV channel.

“The problem we really need to address right now is making world leaders aware of the facts of what is happening in Ukraine. And I think it’s important as well for the people of Ukraine to understand the significance of having a media that is so heavily weighted in one direction. Anybody there’s to raise any opposition voice they could shut down illegally. So, crucial now that the governments of the world, that the UN use its influence to inform the powers that be so that they can put pressure on Zelensky it is required for him to step back,” Nathan Gill said.

“It’s crucial now that the governments of the world, that the UN use its influence to inform the powers that be so that they can put pressure on Zelensky it is required for him to step back. Right now, he feels emboldened, he has closed down quite a few stations and he’s gotten away with it, or he thinks he’s gotten away with it. But the reality is that he will not be in power forever, nor will his party and there will be repercussions one day and we don’t want it to get to that. We just want the people of Ukraine to have freedom of expression and freedom of the press, which is simply what we take for granted in the rest of Europe. And I think it’s crucial that Ukrainians get that. And the only way is now for world leaders to start piling up the pressure against the Zelensky regime” he added.

  • This creature has crawled out from under his rock again. I guess the check from Russia arrived.

Here are some interesting facts about this scumbag.

Nathan Gill voted against motions condemning Russia for illegally annexing Crimea and invading Eastern Ukraine. He voted against a motion condemning Russia for aggressive activities and violating International Law in Georgia and Moldova. Nathan Gill voted against a motion condemning Russia for illegally detaining Ukrainian citizens in Russia and Russian occupied territories and voted against a resolution that condemned Russia for Human Rights violations and involvement in shooting down of flight MH17.

Nathan Gill voted against a motion for adopting a European Parliament strategy to counteract propaganda by third party groups, namely Russia and Daesh.

Nathan Gill voted against a motion that the EU continues a policy of having ‘no business with Russia until the integrity of Ukraine’s territory is restored.’

When a motion was put forward calling for Russia to release Ukrainian filmaker Oleg Sentsov and to condemn Russia for not acting on Human Rights judgements passed by the European Court of Justice, Nathan Gill abstained. Let us think a little more about this, because Nathan Gill now sits on the European Parliament Subcommittee on Human Rights.

This is quite a damning history of voting on Nathan Gill’s behalf. His voting record seems to protect Russia at every juncture while never voting to condemn Russia’s actions even after the shooting down of Flight MH17.

Finally, just to show that Nathan Gill does have an impact on the country that elected him to office. We go back to Steel Production. At a time when the industry in Wales was on its knees and needed all the help that it could muster, when a Motion for an European Parliament resolution was put forward on 15/11/2017 for protection against dumped and subsidized imports from countries not members of the EU like China, Nathan Gill abstained.

Unbelievably, where MEP’s all across Europe voted to protect South Wales steel, a Welsh MEP did not .

It is obvious that Nathan Gill is not working for Welsh interests in the European Parliament. His interest and defence of Russia and pro Russian factions in Ukraine at a time when Russia invaded and annexed Ukrainian territory is disturbing. The people of Wales gave Nathan Gill a mandate to speak and vote at the European Parliament on behalf of Wales and not on behalf of Viktor Medvedchuk and his paymasters.

This guy is a traitor to his country.

    • A traitor to England, where he was born and Wales where he lives.
Yes he really must be a paid kremlin agent and his finances should be investigated by forensic accountants. But then so should many, many others. Sadly it is still not illegal to accept money from Russia, nor any other fascist regime, but it must be declared.
Personally I’d be happy to lock him up indefinitely, just for being an irritating putinoid maggot.

      • Furthermore he now sits on the lavishly named ‘112 Ukraine International Editorial Council’ and the ‘News One International Editorial Council’ so no conflict of interest there.

  • And of course a Brexiteer.

    • He certainly is. A minion of Nigel Farage.
However, although Ukip, or Kremkip as it should be more accurately called (and successors like the Reform Party etc) are putlerite parties, it would be wrong to characterise Brexit supporters as putler grovellers for the following reason: it was claimed that Britain was playing into Russia’s hands by leaving the EU because the EU was perceived to be an anti-Russia bloc. In fact as we now know, the truth is the exact opposite. The Franco-German alliance that runs the EU are Russia lackeys, as are numerous other EU members; such as Hungary, Italy, Austria, Denmark etc.
Germany alone, being Russia’s biggest investor, could have stoped putler from invading Ukraine and Georgia before that, simply by economic power. But it chose instead to be an enabler.

  • Ukraine should and can ignore such goons as this one. It is in a war and it has a God-given right to protect itself. If the West is willing to lie down and spread their legs widely to get thoroughly fucked by fascists, terrorists, chinks, negros, Muslims … then go for it.
